Dr. Abe Nkomo, is one of the most admired physicians in Africa. He has served as South Africa’s Councilor General in Malaysia and South Africa’s Ambassador to Canada. The recipient of the Nelson Mandela Health Award in 1999, Dr. Nkomo has long been an active community leader in the field of health and wellness, with, more recently, a particular focus on HIV/AIDS. He founded an all-party group on AIDS and drafted an AIDS pledge for members of Parliament. As an ANC MP and Chairperson of the Health Portfolio, he helped to ensure implementation of the public health reform process in South Africa.

Raks Morakabe Seakhoa is the Executive Director of wRite Associates, a one-stop communications agency that delivers highly effective communication and event management strategies, including within the realm of arts, culture and heritage. He has served as Regional Co-coordinator and Secretary General of the Congress of South African Writers (COSAW); the founding Chairperson of the Southern African Writers’ Council (SAWCO).

Dr. Moloko is currently an Independent Consultant at Tlou Moloko Consulting and Management; Bedfordview, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. He has served as special advisor to the Minister of Health, Ministry of Health South Africa; Technical Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Health; Superintendent General (DG) and Head of Department, Mpumalanga Department of Health and Social Services; and Chief Executive Officer (Elim Hospital and Louis Trichardt Hospital). He is a graduate of the Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA)  MBChB and B.Sc. (Med).

Richard Dowden is the Executive Director of the Royal African Society, London. Since 1975 he has specialized in African issues and has worked in different capacities in various British and international media. He is the author of several articles and the book Africa: Altered States, Ordinary Miracles (Portobello Books, 2008).

Dr. Amonia Gasper is a Harley Street-based physician offering a range of traditional family general practice services, including consultations, health screening and fast track referrals. Dr. Gasper qualified in medicine from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1996, going on to complete further training in the UK. She holds a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (DRCOG) in 2004; and the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP) in 2005. She has been a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) since 2005.

Dr. Orode Omolara Doherty is a pediatrician, and public health expert. Orode obtained her medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, Pediatrics Training at the University of Pittsburgh and an MPH from Harvard's MT Chan School of Public Health. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, associate fellow of the West African Post Graduate Medical College, fellow of the African Leadership Initiative West Africa, and moderator for the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Honorable Dr. Wale Okediran has been a public servant for almost 30 years. His educational qualifications include BSc (Hons) 1977, MBChB 1980 (University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University); Fellow of General Medical Practitioners of Nigeria, and Fellow of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria. As a member of the Federal House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, he was an active member of the Health Committee and helped draft and pass the National Health Bill. Dr. Okediran was involved in developing the Action for West Africa Region (AWARE) HIV/AIDS Model Law through advocacy with national governments in the Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

Dr. Uche Achebe is the Medical Director/CEO, National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu. A graduate of the University of Nigeria Medical School from where he graduated with honors with a B.M. B.Ch,  Uche is a Member/Fellow, West African College of Surgeons; Fellow, International College of Surgeons, past President, Nigerian Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons; and President, West African Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

Dr. Kabir Ahmed is the Director of Finance and Administration at National Institute for Legislative Studies, Abuja. He has served in executive positions at Springbank plc: Eco bank Nigeria Plc, and UBA.  Kabir was educated at Oxford University where he completed the Oxford High Performance Leadership Programme; the University of Sheffield where he obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.); and the University of Kent where he completed a Ph.D.

Dr. Tata is the Network Medical Director, Complex Population Management at Optum UnitedHealth Group. Optum is a division of United Health Group, the largest private healthcare organization in the US. At Optum Complex Population Management, Dr. Tata leads a team that specializes in providing innovative trigger driven solutions for the sickest members of insurance companies who frequently require multiple hospitalizations, or who are living at home with significant illness whose care is very complicated. Dr. Tata is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians; Fellow Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Care; and has an Executive Leadership Certificate in Health Informatics. He was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University (MBBS); and Kings College, England.
