Dr. Abe Nkomo, is one of the most admired physicians in Africa. He has served as South Africa’s Councilor General in Malaysia and South Africa’s Ambassador to Canada. The recipient of the Nelson Mandela Health Award in 1999, Dr. Nkomo has long been an active community leader in the field of health and wellness, with, more recently, a particular focus on HIV/AIDS. He founded an all-party group on AIDS and drafted an AIDS pledge for members of Parliament. As an ANC MP and Chairperson of the Health Portfolio, he helped to ensure implementation of the public health reform process in South Africa.

Dr. Gasper qualified in medicine from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1996, going on to complete further training in the UK. She holds a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (DRCOG) in 2004; and the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP) in 2005. She has been a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) since 2005.

Dr. Orode Omolara Doherty is a pediatrician, and public health expert. Orode obtained her medical degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, Pediatrics Training at the University of Pittsburgh and an MPH from Harvard's MT Chan School of Public Health. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, associate fellow of the West African Post Graduate Medical College, fellow of the African Leadership Initiative West Africa, and moderator for the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Honorable Dr. Wale Okediran has been a public servant for almost 30 years. His educational qualifications include BSc (Hons) 1977, MBChB 1980 (University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University); Fellow of General Medical Practitioners of Nigeria, and Fellow of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria. As a member of the Federal House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, he was an active member of the Health Committee and helped draft and pass the National Health Bill. Dr. Okediran was involved in developing the Action for West Africa Region (AWARE) HIV/AIDS Model Law through advocacy with national governments in the Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

Dr. Uche Achebe is the Medical Director/CEO, National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu. A graduate of the University of Nigeria Medical School from where he graduated with honors with a B.M. B.Ch,  Uche is a Member/Fellow, West African College of Surgeons; Fellow, International College of Surgeons, past President, Nigerian Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons; and President, West African Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

He has served in executive positions at Springbank plc: Eco bank Nigeria Plc, and UBA.  Kabir was educated at Oxford University where he completed the Oxford High Performance Leadership Programme; the University of Sheffield where he obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.); and the University of Kent where he completed a Ph.D.

Dr. Tata is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians; Fellow Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland; Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Care; and has an Executive Leadership Certificate in Health Informatics. He was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University (MBBS); and Kings College, England.
